Summary

Habr Article Downloader does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data. All processing happens locally in your browser.

What the extension does

The extension converts publications from habr.com into Markdown (.md) files and saves them to your device via the browser's standard download mechanism. It can do this on demand, in batches, or on a schedule based on filters you configure.

Data storage

• Settings (filters, filename template, watch sources, UI options) are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local.
• Download journal — a local list of IDs of already-downloaded publications, used only to avoid duplicate downloads. Stored locally.

None of this data ever leaves your device. There are no analytics, no trackers, no external servers, and no accounts.

Network requests

The extension makes requests only to habr.com — to fetch the pages and RSS feeds of publications you choose to download. No requests are made to any other host.

Permissions

• downloads — saving .md files to your device;
• storage — local settings and the duplicate-prevention journal;
• alarms — the optional scheduled watch feature;
• contextMenus — optional right-click menu items on habr.com;
• notifications — optional completion notifications;
• host access to https://habr.com/* — the extension's single purpose is working with Habr.

Third parties

No data is sold or shared with third parties. No data is used for creditworthiness, lending, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
